Terms of Use

Last updated: 27 August 2026

These Terms are the agreement between you and the operator of PhotoCraft. By creating an account, paying for a plan or using the PhotoCraft mod together with the service, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

1.Who you are contracting with

The service is operated by Individual Entrepreneur Ivan Khmelev ("we", "us", the "Operator"), registration number [REGISTRATION NUMBER], registered address [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. Contact: [email protected].

2.What PhotoCraft is

PhotoCraft is a service that generates 3D block structures from photographs. You upload one or more photos; our pipeline reconstructs a 3D model and converts it into a block map — a grid of coloured blocks describing the object, which we call a "build". That block map is the product: it is data, it is yours, and you can export it in a portable format at any time (clause 8).

Alongside the service we distribute a free companion mod for Minecraft, which reads a block map and places the structure in your world so you do not have to lay it out by hand. The mod is free for everyone, works without an account and ships with three example builds. It is a convenience layer over a result you already own — not the thing you pay for.

What you pay for is computation: turning your photograph into a block map, plus storing it and delivering it. We do not sell Minecraft content, and we do not unlock anything that already exists in the game or in the mod.

3.Accounts

  • You must be at least 13 years old. If you are younger than the age of digital consent in your country, a parent or guardian has to agree to these Terms for you and be responsible for your account.
  • Only the owner of the payment method may pay for a plan. If you are a minor, an adult has to make the purchase — do not use someone else's card.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.
  • One person, one account. Sharing an account so several people can generate builds on one plan is not allowed.
  • Give us a working email address — it is how we reach you about your plan, your builds and these Terms.

4.Plans, tokens and what they buy

Access to the service requires an active subscription. One token pays for one generation, or for one rescale of a build you already have.

  • Plan tokens arrive monthly while your subscription is active. They roll over, but the whole plan balance expires 12 months after your last monthly refill.
  • Purchased tokens (top-ups) never expire. Spending any token — including a purchased one — requires an active subscription.
  • Plan tokens are always spent before purchased ones, because only plan tokens expire.
  • Tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money.
  • Yearly plans are paid up front and tokens are granted month by month over the paid year.

Without an active subscription you keep your account and your library, but you cannot generate, rescale, or place builds in game.

5.Payments and renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which acts as merchant of record for the sale; its own terms apply to the payment itself, and it — not we — appears on your statement. We never see or store your card details.

Prices are shown on the pricing page before you pay. We may change prices for future periods; a price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we announce it before the renewal it affects.

6.Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your profile. Cancelling stops the renewal — it does not cut off access: your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that, generation and in-game placement stop, your plan tokens are frozen (not deleted) and your library stays in your account.

7.Refunds

If a build comes out unusable, request a token refund from the build's page and a human reviews it — usually within a few hours. If we agree, the token goes back to your balance. This is available on every plan.

Money refunds are handled case by case. Write to us and explain what happened. We are not obliged to refund a subscription period that has already started, unused tokens or expired tokens, but we would rather sort out a genuine problem than leave you with something you cannot use.

Where you bought through a payment provider or an app store, that company is the seller of record and its own refund rules apply — it can grant or refuse a refund independently of us, and its decision stands for the payment itself.

Where the law of your country gives you a mandatory right to withdraw from a purchase, that right applies regardless of this clause.

8.Your photos and your builds

  • Your photos stay yours. Builds generated from them are yours too — we claim no ownership of either.
  • You grant us the licence we need to run the service: to store, process and transmit your photos and builds, including sending them to the third-party processors listed in our Privacy Policy, for as long as we host them for you.
  • You confirm you have the right to upload every photo you upload, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
  • Do not upload photos of other people without their agreement, sexual content, or anything illegal.
  • We do not use your photos or builds to train models, and we do not publish them or show them to other users.

You can always take your builds with you. Every build you paid for can be exported as a block map in JSON — the same data the mod uses to place it: dimensions, the palette of Minecraft blocks and the layers. It is yours because you paid for the computation that produced it, and an expired subscription does not take it away: what a lapsed plan stops is generating new builds and placing them through the mod, not your ownership of what is already made. Until the export button is in the app, write to us and we send the file.

9.Licence to the mod and the service

We grant you a free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and run the PhotoCraft mod, and to use the service through your account, for your own personal or internal use. The mod and the service stay ours; this licence is permission to use them, not a transfer of anything.

Do not modify, repackage, rehost or redistribute the mod as your own, remove its notices, or bundle it into a paid product. Sharing the unmodified original file is fine — it is free.

This licence covers the software only. It does not touch your ownership of your photos or of the block maps you paid for (clause 8), which remain yours even if the licence ends.

10.Acceptable use

  • Do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the service, or generate builds on behalf of others as a paid service of your own.
  • Do not attempt to bypass the paywall, extract build data you have not paid for, or access another user's account or builds.
  • Do not automate the API beyond normal use of the app and the mod, or attack the service's availability.
  • Do not attempt to decompile or reverse engineer the service beyond what the law explicitly permits.

11.Minecraft, Mojang and the mod

PhotoCraft is not an official Minecraft product, and it is not approved by or associated with Mojang, 4J Studios, Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB. Your use of Minecraft is governed by Mojang's own terms, not by ours.

The mod is distributed free of charge and adds no paid content to the game. It places a block map that the service computed from your own photograph, on your instruction — the same result you can export and use outside Minecraft.

12.Availability, changes and closing accounts

We aim to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability: generation depends on third-party computing providers, and maintenance happens. Features may change as the product develops.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, or that is used for fraud or chargeback abuse. Except where the breach makes it impossible, we tell you why. If we close an account for such a breach, do not open a replacement one. You can close your own account at any time by writing to us.

If we ever shut the service down, we will give notice by email so you can retrieve or export your builds before it happens.

13.Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is. A build is an automated interpretation of a photograph: we do not promise a particular level of visual accuracy, block count or resemblance, which is exactly why the token refund exists.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we announce it by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, cancel your plan.

15.Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the Operator is registered, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your own country of residence.
